Teens Acting Classes - 13 yrs - 17 yrs

This two hour class is sure to be the highlight of your week. Challenge yourself by participating in fun improvisation games. Learn acting techniques used by the biggest stars in Hollywood. Build your self confidence by performing different scenes each week on camera. Create a network of friends who share your passion for performing. Whether you are looking to break into the Film and TV industry or just want to build confidence and have fun, these classes are sure to inspire you and leave you wanting more!

The MG class:

The class is divided into two one hour sections.

During the first hour you will be involved in theatre sports and fun improvisation activities that promote team work and develop performance skills.
In the second hour it’s lights camera action, as you perform scenes in front of the camera. All of your work can be captured onto USB so that you can fast track your learning by watching your performance back on TV.  From comedy to drama, action to si-fi, each week will bring a different script and acting challenge.

Throughout a term you can expect to:

• Act in scripted drama, comedy and sci-fi scenes
• Record TV commercials
• Work with Greenscreen special effects
• Shoot scenes in different locations around the studio
• Perform Voiceovers for cartoons
• Work with studio technical equipment
• Learn important tricks of the trade and audition technique
• Create your own short films

Learning Outcomes:

Studio Directors Paul Moore and Sarah Grace are both qualified teachers and experienced actors themselves. This high level of training and experience ensures top quality teaching in every class. Any staff member that joins the Mooregrace team undergoes extensive screening and continuous training to ensure you have a fantastic Mooregrace Experience! 

Industry Links:

For those of you who are keen to take your acting to the next level and want to break into the film and TV industry, the team at Mooregrace are always on hand to offer advice and support. They understand how many questions arise when you’re getting started and are there to help you through the process every step of the way, from finding the right agent to assistance with that first audition.

The studio is dedicated to creating industry opportunities for those students who want to further pursue their acting. Each month a casting director visits Mooregrace to hold a “showoff session”.  These workshops are run separate from the weekly classes and provide students with the opportunity to showcase their talents and be considered for up and coming film and TV projects.

Class timetable:

Teens: 13yrs-17yrs

Option 1: Monday 4:30pm-6:30pm
Option 2: Thursday 6:45pm-8:45pm
Option 3: Friday 6:45pm-8:45pm
Option 4: Saturday 10:00am-12:00noon

Cost:

Payment is made by the term. There is a $20 discount on fees if they are paid within the first two weeks of term.

Standard price per term is:

Teens: $260

Early Bird discount price: (if paid within the first two weeks of  term)

Teens: $240

Families with more than one person attending the studio receive a 20% discount on all enrolments after the first student. Give the studio a call if this is an option you would like to pursue.
